Good Afternoon Gorzycki Tigers

Here are your announcements for today

Attention 8th grade Students On Wednesday, January 30th 8th grade students are participating in amazing event. We will be taking all 8th graders to a city wide Youth Career Fest. Here you will be able to speak with professionals who work in a plethora of different career fields. You will also have the opportunity to speak with representatives from many colleges and universities. Since we will be off campus on Wednesday, January 30th you will need to bring a sack lunch to school. We also ask that you dress your best as you will be meeting professionals and college representatives. If you have any questions please ask your 8th grade teachers or Mrs. Hodges.

Please donate to The Souper Bowl of Caring. The Excel class that donates the most cans to the food drive will receive a popcorn party during Excel! Donate Peanut butter, canned chicken breast or tuna, canned low sodium vegetables, canned fruit in its own juice (no sugar added), dry pinto beans, brown rice, non-fat dry milk powder, 100% whole grain cereal Our goal is 2000 pounds of food The drive ends Jan 30th.

Do you hope to someday be a published writer? If so, come to Writing Club this Friday to learn about submission opportunities for teens. The club meets in room 706 from 3:45-4:45PM. All are welcome.

Hey tigers! Yearbook needs pictures from a C team boys soccer game. If you have any please come talk to Mr.Keller on a Tuesday or Thursday during excel. Thank you!

Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in joining the Cap 10k team this year should sign up and register as soon as possible. Our first training session begins Friday February 1st! Please see your science teacher or Coach MacKenzie in Room 714 for registration details.

The 7th grade A team beat the Lamar Scotties last night by a score of 59-33. The Tigers used a balanced attack led by Griffen C who scored 14 points. Wonder added 12, Mason W 10 and Cole M chipped in with 8. Next up for the Tigers is the Lake Travis tournament tomorrow and at Bailey on Thursday.

The 7th grade boys basketball B-team beat Lamar 50-16 last night. They were led, with 15 points, by Gibson S, and Miles S added 8 points.
