Good Afternoon Gorzycki Tigers

Here are your announcements for today

The Library will be closed for testing during 6th-8th periods today, January 29 and tomorrow, January 30. Please plan accordingly. Thank you!

Today our Healthy Heart Tip is “Managing your Blood Pressure & Stress.” High blood pressure is a risk factor for heart disease and stroke. When your blood pressure stays within a healthy range, you reduce the strain on your heart, blood vessels, and kidneys. If in a stressful situation, your body will release stress hormones causing your blood vessels to tighten and your blood pressure to increase. Practicing mindfulness can decrease stress hormones and keep your blood pressure in a healthy range. Today, we encourage everyone to take short mindfulness breaks in between activities. Don’t forget to WEAR RED on Friday!

From January 30th to February 12th student council will be selling valentine candy grams they are $1 and you can purchase them during your lunch. The candy will be delivered on February 14th to your friends excel. Buy them for your friends and valentine!

Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in joining the Cap 10k team this year should sign up and register as soon as possible. Our first training session begins Friday February 1st! Please see your science teacher or Coach MacKenzie in Room 714 for registration details.
