Good Afternoon Gorzycki Tigers

Here are your announcements for today

Today our Healthy Heart Tip is to “Go Red.” Today, we wear red to raise awareness about heart disease and save lives. By being physically active, eating well, managing your blood pressure and stress you can lower your risks for heart disease. Plus, today is Cap10k Kick-Off Day, which means time to start training for the Stateman Cap10K. Share your group pictures on twitter using the hashtags: #AISDGoesRed19, #AISDProud, and #AISDGotHeart

Students that were invited to try out for Mr. Martin's UIL geography contest should report to his classroom today after these announcements.

Congratulations to Mr. Summer's class for winning the No Place For Hate door decorating contest! Their door design was a great symbol of inclusiveness!

Writing Club meets TODAY from 3:45-4:45 in room 706. See you there!

The 7th grade A team overcame a fivepoint deficit in the final 1:30 of the game and finished on a 9-0 run to beat the Bailey Bears by a score of 51-47. Ian C, Derrick N and Griffen C led the way on both ends of the floor. The Tigers play home on Thursday against Paredes. Come out and support the team.

From January 30th to February 12th student council will be selling valentine candy grams they are $1 and you can purchase them during your lunch. The candy will be delivered on February 14th to your friends excel. Buy them for your friends and valentine!

Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in joining the Cap 10k team this year should sign up and register as soon as possible. Our first training session begins Friday February 1st! Please see your science teacher or Coach MacKenzie in Room 714 for registration details.

Hey Students, did you know that Keyboarding is required for middle school students in AISD? Did you know that you have some options for meeting the requirement? One of those options is to take the Keyboarding Proficiency Test, which will be offered in March before Spring Break.
