Attention all tigers: the library will be closed for excel today. Teachers, please do not sent students to the library for excel today. Thanks!

Attention teachers: Please release the students who are scheduled to take Part 2 of the Keyboarding Test today. An email was sent out last night with the names of the students who are testing today. Only send those students whose names are on the email. Thank you.

Attention all students: FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet this Friday morning at 7:50 in room 504. Doors open at 7:45. Come join us for fellowship and fun. Remember, FCA is not just for Athletes, all are welcome. Hope to see you there.

Ladies and Gentleman, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. To start off the new decade, this drama club theme is Circus Drama Club!!! So come on down one and all, and grab a friend because this will be the moment you’ve been waiting for! There is no Writing Club this week. Our next meeting will be Friday, January 31st.

The 8th Grade B team was victorious over Murchison on Thursday night. The Tigers won 51-32 thanks to Cole J. scoring 15 points and Zach S. scoring 11 points. The Tiger defense was lights out as usual. Great job guys, and good luck vs. O'Henry.

Good Afternoon Gorzycki Tigers
Here are your announcements for today:

Attention 7th and 8th grade students. Tonight is the Gorzycki Winter Dance here at GMS. The dance is from 6:30-8pm in the commons and cafeteria. The dress code is semi-formal and includes no midriffs, no strapless dresses and please, no shorts. Unless absolutely necessary, leave your phones at home as they will be checked at the door. Pizza rolls, cookies and water will be provided and don't forget cash to purchase concessions. If you ordered online and didn't pick up your wristband during lunch, you may pick it up at the dance. You may also purchase at the door with cash or a check made out to GMS Dance. See you tonight!

7th grade boys basketball B team started out their 2020 regular season with 42-22 win against Murchison last night on the road. They were led on offense by Seth D and Noah P and played great team defense to hold a good Matador team to their lowest point total of the season. Come support your 7th grade boys basketball at home next Thursday against O. Henry. B team tips off at 6pm and A team plays right after at 7pm. Great Job Tigers!

7th grade boys basketball A team started out their 2020 regular season with a 60-27 win against the Murchison Matadors last night. They were led on offense by Max F with 16 points and Michael L with 10 points. As team they also went 14 for 15 from the free throw line. Come support your 7th grade boys basketball this coming Thursday at home against O. Henry.

The 8th grade A basketball team defeated the Murchison Matadors by a score of 50-42. Bennett S led the way with 21 points while Mason W scored 10. The Tigers play at O Henry on Thursday.

Writing Club is today from 3:45-4:45 PM in room 706. We'll be taking our group photo for the yearbook today, so if you want to be represented as a GMS Writing Club member, be sure to attend!

Composition club will be meeting this Friday in room 518. We will be taking our group photo for the yearbook so please plan to attend!

Circus Drama Club will be moved to next week on the 24th. We will see you soon!

GSA returns this Wednesday to Gorzycki. Gay, Straight, Alliance is an inclusive club that invites all students to attend. We will be meeting in room 815 from 3:45- 4:30. Hope to see you there!

C team boys basketball will practice after school today, Jan. 13th till 5:00 Be prepared and ready to go. See coach Gaines for schedules.

Attention 6th and 7th graders, today is the last day to register to take the Keyboarding Proficiency Test. The test is for students who have not yet taken Keyboarding, and would like to be able to take an additional elective next year. For more information, go to Keyboarding.GMSTigers.org.

Good Afternoon Gorzycki Tigers!
Here are your announcements for today:

Yesterday was the final round of the Gorzycki Spelling Bee! It was a fierce competition, and we're so proud of all who participated. Please congratulate our top spellers if you see them today: 8th grader Evan J., 7th graders Ryan L., Emma M., and Finn T. tied for 3rd place. 7th grader Gabriella-Catalina M. took 2nd place, and 6th grader Eemaan S. won first place! Eemaan will go on to represent us in the Austin Zone competition. Great job, spellers!

The 8th Grade B Basketball team came from behind to beat Westridge yesterday in a thrilling win. The Tigers won 26-22 with great defensive efforts from all players. Jagger K. made the shot that put the Tigers ahead with seconds to spare. Way to hang in there boys and never quit. The Tigers will next play in a tournament this weekend in San Marcos.
