The mission of the PAL program in middle school is to prepare and enable students to use their leadership, academic knowledge, and critical thinking skills to address school-based needs. The primary role of the PAL in middle school is to mentor sixth grade students, new students, and students in campus-specific high-needs programs. PALS also serve as role models in their classes and are heavily involved in community service projects both within the school and out in their community. Examples of services projects include: Back-to-School Night, Coats for Kids, and Tiger Day.
The PAL program is open to any incoming 8th grade student. Seventh graders may apply in the spring semester. Interested students should listen for an announcement or see Ms. Sindt in Room 508.
